Yesterday I had my first advising session. My first year advisor is a professor I had when I was working on my master’s degree. She’s firm but fair. The session was super quick. She said that she’s not worried about me tackling the research aspect.

She also said that if I wanted to, I could start approaching other faculty members to be my actual advisor(s). This was due to the fact that I know I want my work to be about feminism & science and she does neither. At least she’s honest!

Afterward it dawned on me. OMFG this is for real. 

Now to register for a class & get my immunization records up to date.
